Executive Pastor
Ebony Freeland Bryant
Pastor Ebony Freeland Bryant was born and raised in Hillsborough, NC. From a young age, she was told by her parents that she could do all things through Christ. They believed in her and encouraged her to read, write, and lead with everything she had. With that strong sense of faith, she attended and graduated from UNC Wilmington. She was licensed as a minister in June 2014 and ordained as an Elder in November 2016 at One Love Ministries in Durham, NC under Pastor John Fitzpatrick, Jr.
She was installed as the campus pastor of Sozo Life Ministries in January 2019 under the spiritual leadership of Overseer Kysha Jones Thompson and now serves as the Executive Pastor. She considers it an honor and a privilege to serve God's people at Sozo and is excited about what God is doing!
Pastor Ebony has worked in diversity & inclusion work for over 20 years. She is also the founder and visionary of Rhema Ministries, a ministry comprised of books, blogs, and retreats. She believes in the power of deliverance and that transparency and wisdom can change lives.
